The US is concerned about the border conflict in Texas

Southern Methodist University political scientist Cal Jillson sees the Texas governor’s action as fulfilling his longstanding political ambitions to restore states’ rights and further limit the power of the federal government. According to Steve Vladeck, a constitutional law expert at the University of Texas School of Law, the Texas governor is “putting up a fight.”

Eagle Pass resident Jesse Fuentes, in a conversation with the newspaper, also expressed concern over the situation at the border becoming “dire.”

Earlier, the Texas National Guard took control of a section of the U.S.-Mexico border, denying access to federal border agents. Local authorities explained these actions by the desire to prevent illegal crossing of the border by migrants. The US Justice Department appealed to the Supreme Court of the country.
