In South Korea, Kim Jong-un’s eldest daughter, 10-year-old Kim Joo-ae, has been named as his potential successor as leader of North Korea. This is reported by the publication Nikkei Asia with reference to the National Intelligence Service of the Republic of Korea (NIS).
“Based on a comprehensive analysis of public activity, Kim Joo Ae is currently the most likely successor,” – the publication quotes the words of Cho Tae Yong, candidate for the post of head of the NIS.
The South Korean intelligence community made the corresponding conclusion based on the activity of Kim Jong Un’s daughter, observed since 2022. Kim Joo Ae was first shown to North Korean media in November 2022, when she and her father observed the test of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile. Since then, she has been shown more than twenty times in DPRK news footage.
