Christopher Landon will make a werewolf horror instead of Scream 7

The creator of “Happy Death Day” has found himself a new horror project
Christopher Landon, who recently left the crumbling “Scream 7,” has found himself a new genre project. The creator of the “Happy Death Happy Day” dilogy will take on the film adaptation of the story “Big Bad” by bestselling author of “The Blacklist” Chandler Baker. Lionsgate Studios has just finalised a deal that will see the writer adapt her werewolf story herself, with Alex Young, Scott O’Brien and Todd Lieberman and Hidden Pictures producing alongside Christopher Landon.

What is Chandler Baker’s short story “Big Bad” about?
The story, which was included in the Creature Feature anthology novel, centres on the Strauss family going through a bad time. Nervous stay-at-home dad Sam is trying to tame the children who are out of parental control, while his wife Rachel has to cope with the increasing anxiety that is literally boiling up inside her. As tensions mount, the family must pull together to protect themselves from the werewolves on the hunt and to deal with the conflicts within the family. The situation is exacerbated by a recent landslide that has forced the sinister creatures out of the forest.
